Run, row or erg 5K to benefit Riverfront Recapture.
Get ready to sweat in support of Riverfront and its Community Rowing Program! Run, erg or row 5K!
About Riverfront Recapture's Community Rowing Program:
Riverfront Recapture’s Community Rowing Program serves more than 650 people annually, from pre-teens to retirees (we have four members over 80 still rowing regularly and close to 300 kids in our youth programs). We provide classes for beginning, intermediate and experienced rowers, teams for racers, partner with Mt Sinai to run the state’s only Adaptive program for those with physical disabilities and/or visual impairments, and offer free rowing to Hartford and East Hartford public school students. Our program brings people from all backgrounds, and over 47 neighboring cities and town, into Hartford’s historic Riverside Park and puts them together to row on the Connecticut River. But we can’t do it without your help. Please support Riverfront and race, walk, jog, row, or erg (or donate to someone who is) at our first-ever 5k!
5K Run
This course begins and ends at the Riverfront Boathouse, and includes well-maintained trails and paved roads traversing Riverside Park and alongside the Connecticut River. Not a runner? You can row or erg 5K, but 1) previous experience for either is required and 2) proficient single scullers only, club singles must be reserved with Brian.
